Andropharma Curvature supplements help to combat Peyronie's disease

Current studies show that Peyronie's disease (induration of the penis) is an inflammatory disease of the penis in which the elastic layer (tunica albuginea) of the penis in the central tissue (corpus cavernosum) is damaged. As a result, the affected area loses its elasticity and, when filled with blood, it does not stretch, but rather causes a curvature of the penis in the direction of the scar. Peyronie's disease is the most common cause of excessive penile curvature.

The process begins with the oxidation of various fats and protein molecules which leads to inflammation of the elastic layer (tunica albuginea) and the corpus cavernosum. This continues until finally the collagen fibres are replaced by inelastic fibres that form the fibrous plaque (hardened nodules) very characteristic of this disease.

These plaques can be felt under the skin, usually on the top or sometimes on the sides of the penis. Most of them dissolve naturally on their own, but sometimes they persist and over time cause:

Abnormal penile curvature (often upwards));

• Erectile dysfunction and/or pain during erection;
• Shortening, loss of thickness and/or malformation of the penis (indentations, bottlenecks, hourglass shape);
• Sexual problems caused by anxiety and psychological issues.

Currently available treatments are not yet completely satisfactory and mostly only relieve the symptoms of Peyronie's disease. For less complicated cases and early stages, many drugs and compounds (most are anti-inflammatory and anti-sclerotic) are used and tested.

If the penile curvature persists in the later phases of the disease, when the pain has already decreased, surgery is necessary to correct it.

However, this treatment is very invasive and can sometimes lead to penile shortening of up to 4 cm (1.6 inches).

Urology and andrology specialists are studying other non-invasive options. Recently, several studies have been conducted on the effect of penile extenders such as Andropeyronie, which uses traction force to help correct penile curvature and reduce fibrotic plaques. The results have shown that it is effective and completely safe to correct penile curvature.
